Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what we need to sell you a card and ship it, we don't sell your information to anybody, and you can email us to see or delete what we have.
Who we are
Couve Cards is a family-run online sports card shop based in Vancouver, Washington. We sell at CouveCards.com and also list inventory on CollX and eBay. This policy covers CouveCards.com — purchases made on CollX or eBay are also subject to those platforms' own privacy policies.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, and what you bought.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account information: if you create an account, your login details, saved addresses, and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us through a contact form, a "we buy cards" submission, or email — including photos and lists of cards you want to sell.
- Site usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, and general location, collected through cookies and analytics.
How we use it
- To take payment, pack your order, ship it, and handle any problems with it.
- To answer your questions and make offers on cards you want to sell.
- To send order updates, and — only if you opt in — occasional emails about new inventory.
- To keep the store working, prevent fraud, and meet our tax and recordkeeping obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what's needed with the services that make the store run:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders.
- Payment processors, to charge your card and screen for fraud.
- Shipping carriers — USPS, FedEx and UPS — to deliver your order and insure it where required.
- Our inventory system, Card Dealer Pro, which is how listings get created and pushed to this store. It handles card data, not customer data.
- Analytics and email providers, and our accountant, in the ordinary course of running the business.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart, remember your session, and understand how people use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but your cart and account may stop working correctly if you do.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Sell-submission photos and lists are kept while we're working on an offer and for a reasonable period after, in case you come back to it. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message.
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Close your account — email us and we'll take care of it.
Washington, Oregon and California residents may have additional rights under state law. Ask and we'll honor them.
Kids
This is a hobby with a lot of young collectors in it, and we love that — but the store isn't built for children to shop unsupervised. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
